Vintage Mexican Folk Art CASTILLO Pottery Candle Holder Tree of Life Cheetah NR

Up for auction is this vintage Mexican folk art pottery candle holder of a cheetah, jaguar or leopard or “leopardo” and two pájaros birds perched, one on each side. I was told this is Castillo pottery and it is beautifully painted and has some age. Signed MEXICO on bottom and I also see an artist signature that looks like it may be “GERARDO”
Measures 4.5” inches tall, 4.2” inches long and 2.5” inches wide (11.4 cm, 10.7 cm, 6.4 cm).
Finely painted with tons of colors and details. It does have a small chip loss to the bottom of the tail and a repaired rim crack to the candle holder - both of these are not very noticeable and, overall, this piece displays beautifully from every angle as you see.
Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
