UNUSUAL Vintage Folk Art RETABLO Nicho Virgin Guadalupe Mary Mexican Mexico

This lovely vintage retablo / nicho of the Virgen de Guadalupe is a bit unusual with the small “landscape” at the bottom, complete with some dried twigs.  I’m not sure what the material is but it’s an odd & wonderful detail.  And the retablo is beautifully, intricately painted (on a piece of canvas, I believe) with accents of gold paint.  The sides of the nicho are also painted with flowers, a wonderful touch.  This piece is so lovely! I just can't find the right place for it.

In very good vintage condition overall with a tiny ding here or there.  There’s a bit of old masking tape on the bottom in the back, as well.  It measures about 12” x 5 5/8”.  Please see photos.
