WONDERFUL COLORFUL TIGER
Alebrijes are Mexico's fantastic, imaginative figures - they are often called "creatures of the dreams and the imagination".  They are hand-carved and hand-painted  of copal wood in Central Mexico where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces. This is a great tiger - a beautiful carving with rich  painting .body in different tones of orange and gold.  The animal is full of motion with a terrific pose.  The distinctive teeth are carved .   This is  a wonderful piece.  It is approximately 9 " long with removable tail and 5 1/4" tall. This tiger would be a fabulous addition to any collection.
