the Huichol Indigenous People of Mexico .
The wooden form was covered with a layer of
beeswax
Small beads were set in place to create the beautiful designs you see.
The
piece measures approximately
4 1/2" tall
3 3/4" wide
1 3/4" deep
We have worked with artists throughout Mexico for 25 years, first bringing their fabulous creations to our store in Evanston IL and now to our Coffee Shop and Gallery, Cafe Mañana, in San Pancho, Nayarit Mexico.
Natural variations are the nature of the beast when dealing with folk art items made by hand one at a time.
