Set of 6 Antique Signed Moser Bohemian Stemmed Wine Glasses Circa 1895 - 1918
Description:
For your consideration is this set of six elegant stemmed signed Moser wine glasses. Each are about 5 & 3/4th inches tall and opening on top is about 2 & 3/4th inches in diameter. The stems of the glasses have a zipper cut. The stems are a clear-glass and the drinking part of the glasses are a lime-green color with a gold rim on top & bottom. They are decorated with a fancy raised gold hand enameled initials that read 'JSH' or 'FSH' or something similar. The 'S' in the middle is larger which usually suggests the last name or surname. They were very likely a special order. All of the glasses are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks; 98%+ of the gold is still intact. As seen in the seventh and twelfth pictures, all bear the Moser mark on bottom: Glasfabrik M(cup)M Karlsbad Austria. This signature, according to Gary Baldwin & Lee Carno's Book "Moser Artistry in Glass 1857 - 1938" was used on their glass in the 1895 - 1918 time frame.
