The present two-volume edition is devoted to products of the porcelain plant of A.M. Miklashevsky, one of the largest enterprises in pre-revolutionary Ukraine functioning from 1838 to 1861 in the village of Volokitin of the Chernihiv province. The uniqueness, the scientific and cultural importance of this project consists that Volokitinsky porcelain as the art phenomenon and subject to collecting is for the first time presented with such completeness and a variety - the album has included about 500 illustrations from meetings of 11 Russian, Ukrainian, foreign museums and private collections.
The first volume, besides the introduction, includes the album part consisting of 4 sections characterizing the main production of the plant of Miklashevsky. Each section is followed by the relevant article.
In the second volume the illustrated catalog with comments, materials about the system of signatures (brands) of the plant in Volokitin are placed.
