Our Lady of Guadalupe Tin Milagros Cross Mexican Folk Art Wood Wall Hanging
Handmade in Mexico, this Mexican folk art tin Milagros wood cross is one of a kind.
Made of hand carved wood, stained adobe color with dark taupe wash and hand painted with pretty floral details.   The artist used his fingertip to paint the flowers.
On the front, the artist used turquoise green paint at the tip of each arm of the cross for accent and painted a turquoise green halo with metallic gold sun rays around the center, 1 3/4"H Our Lady of Guadalupe, antiqued dark burgundy, silver tin Milagro.
5 additional hand nailed tin Milagros with gold and brown wash:  A young girl in prayer, a turkey for nourishment and an arm, a leg and a bone for strength or an ailment.
Milagros are carried for good luck, left at saint's statues for prayers and hung in the home for blessings.
Ex Voto, offering and special gift.
A hole is carved into the back for wall hanging.
As with all Mexican folk art items, any slight imperfection in painting or construction adds to the beauty of each handmade piece.
