For bid is this fabulous hand carved and painted Alebrije from Oaxaca, Mexico.  Featuring a giant bug like fly or butterfly.  Wonderful example of Mexican folk art.  Measures about 12” by 11” and 6 ¼” tall.  Carved from copal wood and delicately hand painted in a rainbow of eye popping colors.  Artist signed on back.  No flaws found.
