    Description

    Mexican Mermaid Sculpture, Wooden Folk Art, Hand Carved, Hand Painted, 12" Tall X 10.75" Wide X 4.25" Deep,  I bought this mermaid in Guadalajara in 1995.  I think she's a crazy piece of folk art---half nude, with detailed scales, red fins and huge hands.  She does show some wear with nicks and scrapes.  She did lose a thumb, and it was glued back into place.   I still find her charming and in good, collectible condition.  She stands easily by herself, and also has a drilled hole for being hung on the wall.
