    JAGUAR HEAD Alebrije Cat Wood Carving Mexican Signed Handmade Metallic Folk Art
    Breathtaking, majestic and gorgeous, this jaguar head was made especially for our store.  The artist, Humberto Lazaro, knows our love of Alebrije jaguar sculptures.  He painted this jaguar head in Alegrije style with metallic gold colors.  This jaguar head is one-of-a-kind.
    Hand painted by a young talented artist in Mexico.
    The artist, Humberto Lazaro Salvador is from Ahuehuepan, Guerrero, Mexico.   A small indigenous village in Mexico where Humberto learned his craft and love of painting from his grandfather, Luciano.  Luciano carved this piece from a single piece of wood.
    This Guamuchil wood, hand carved, jaguar head is primed with white paint, then painted matte black and the final coat is beautiful Alebrije florals in metallic gold.
    This jaguar is painted in the traditional Alebrije style of florals accenting each section.  Both sides of his cheeks have big flowers with dots.  Next to his nose, flowers bloom with Aztec symbols on his top lip.  His nose is hand painted matte electric blue!  His bright white eyes have gold and black with gold petals around the edges.  On the back of his head, an extra large gold flower has beautiful gold leaves and dotted accents.
    The bottom is hand signed by the artist, Humberto Lazaro.  We complimented his unique talented style of painting and he said it is natural talents to him and his visions expressed.  He uses no stencils and all of his designs are painted by hand.  This is a very special piece of art, unique and one of a kind.
