Handmade 3D terra cotta sculpture - Faces - cycle of life Aztec mask
The three faces represent the cycle of life.  In the middle you see the face of a young man.  On either side are two halves of the faces of an old man and then a corpse.  The 13 "buttons" surrounding the mask represent the party of a calendar cycle.
Could be a replica of an ancient 1300 Aztec sculpture "Fragment of an Anthromorphic"
There are no markings.
measures approx:  15-1/4" x 13"  and is quite heavy.
