These two cats are hand carved and painted in the traditional pattern of dots unique to artists from Oaxaca Mexico. The larger one is signed by the artist Magdalena Mendez.  I know that the smaller one is made by the same artist but it is only signed Oaxaca Mex.  I bought them on a trip to Oaxaca about 25 years ago.  They have never been used and are in perfect condition.  The larger cat in a sitting position measures 3 1/4 inches tall including its standing up ears.  The smaller cat in a reclined position is 2 inches long from end to end.
