Antique Style Deer Coconut Art Handmade Hand Painted Guerrero Mexican Folk Art

Description

I just received a shipment from Guerrero with lots of
Coconut masks and Coconut figures .... This figure is a Deer or Stag.  It
has been made to look like an Old piece, but is newly made.
Each figure begins with
1/2 a dried coconut shell for the head and a Canvas body.  A gesso like coating is applied to the surface and then t
he
matte finish pigments are hand painted giving these masks and
Antique appearance.
There is a
hole at the top of each
so you can string some twine and hang it on the wall.  They are lots of fun and quite whimsical.
Perfect for the Day of the Dead Collector or a Mexican Folk Art Collection....
He measures;  16 inches tall by 10 inches wide and 3 1/2 deep.
