2005 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport
Shiny Dark Blue Pearl Metallic paint, super clean Light Flint interior and leather, 58,900 miles.
This is not your father’s Crown Victoria (or if it is, he is a super cool dude). Originally this car was sold by Sarasota Ford to an older gentleman who put 36k miles on it over 13 years and then traded it in on a new Lincoln in 2018. The middle owner only had it for 3 months, apparently was not very good at making decisions, and put a total of 400 miles on it. I have owned this car for almost 4 years and about 23k miles, and now at 59 years old I am pairing down the fleet.
If you are familiar with these cars you’ll know that in 2003 Ford made major design changes to the frame, steering, and suspension that dramatically improved the handling and ride quality across the Panther platform. A total of 1,736 LX Sports were made in 2005, out of a total 14,777 for the entire 2002 to 2008 model run. These cars are somewhat similar to the 03-04 Mercury Marauder, minus the 32v engine, 3.55 gears, 18” wheels, and some cosmetics.

The 4.6L 16 valve Romeo built V8 engine produced 239 HP @4900 RPM and 287 Lbft @4100 RPM in stock form but this one is slightly tuned so you will see a little more power.
Performance Upgrades Include:
•255/50/17 All Season tires with 1k miles, essentially brand new
•P71 airbox and zip tube for increased airflow to the throttle body
•Exhaust resonators removed and replaced with custom tailpipe and black tips (have original if you want them) this car is by no means loud, but you know it’s a V8
•Custom ‘Marty Tune’ from Mo’s Speed Shop and SCT Tuner w/87 and 93 octane tunes
•Spark Plugs replaced w/Motorcraft F22 one step colder than stock
•J-Mod upgrade to the transmission performed by the ‘Panther Whisperer’ Eric at ‘Ford Transmission Repairs & Jmod’ (see Facebook group for info)
•Doorman transmission pan with drain plug, allows for easy transmission fluid changes

•New silicon O rings on ETAC head unit

•Replaced Serpentine belt
•Replaced door striker bushings
•Replaced hood lifting struts
•Full drain and fill of transmission fluid at 42k miles
•Oil changes done with Motorcraft FL-820S filters and 0-20w oil every 5k
Florida bought and Florida registered for all of her 17 years. This is not a fleet car and has lived most of its life inside a garage. Comes with original Window Sticker, Sales Brochure, Owner’s Manual, service receipts, original remote keys and valet key, never mounted full size spare and jack. The entire car is exceptionally clean, including the engine compartment and the undercarriage. The paint is beautiful, the leather and interior are gorgeous. Please reference the pictures for detail. Alas, no 17 y/o car is perfect and as such has some minor paint chips, and the driver side rear door molding is chipped.
This is the second LX Sport that I have owned and I can say that they are among the most comfortable, practical, honest, safe, and reliable vehicles out there. This one served primarily as my airport car, shuttling me 125 miles round trip to MIA sometimes multiple times per week over the last 3+ years. Gets 21mpg @80mph on the highway and 18mpg around town on 87 octane. Pull up to the ‘regular’ pump and enjoy the discount while you fill the tank with the fuel that the engine was made for.
