Presented for your consideration is this pair of art price index books. The books are volumes 1 and 2, making this a complete set, and contain records from a variety of auction houses around the globe. Some of the notable auction houses are Skinner’s, Sotheby’s, and Christie’s. The records are sale results for the 1996-1997 auction season and are for art only. Contains sale records for the following art mediums: Oil Paintings, Watercolors, Pastels, Drawings, Miniatures, Sculptures, Prints, Photographs, Posters, and Animation. The books were edited by Peter H. Falk. Volume 1 contains A-K and volume 2 contains L-Z. The sale results are listed by artist. Under each artist name is the name of the work and the price it sold for (in both USD and EU) There are also advertisements for different auction houses in the front of each book. Each book is around 1400 pages and all pages are intact and free of damage, with the exception of a few lightly creased pages. Each is finished with a hardcover and the bindings are in very good condition. These books are helpful for any art collector! Nice books to decorate with as well!
Light cover wear is on each. Light to mild wear is on the edges of the covers. Overall the pair is in VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Each measures 11 1/8” long, 8 5/8” wide and 2 1/4” thick.
